I started in this work in 2017, at a big global agency doing websites, SEO, SEM, custom dashboards, display ads — building everything online for medium and large companies. The biggest frustration of those years was always the same: I could never help the small businesses that came in asking, because I was unaffordable. So I started doing it on the side — for friends, for family, for whoever truly needed it.
That’s why 2k exists. A fair web development company where the price is negotiable but the work quality is not. I don’t cut corners. I don’t take the easy way out. I put my head down and grind, because that’s the only way I’ve ever known.
I also work with modern AI tools at my side — they’re how a one-person shop can ship like a team without a team-sized invoice. The craft, the decisions, and the relationship are mine.
Born and raised in Kansas City — Old Northeast. Background of nothing. I know what it takes to build from the literal ground up — I’ve been doing it since I was born. My goal with 2k is twofold: build a sustainable life for myself, and give as many small business owners as I can the same kind of opportunity people have given me along the way.
The honest reason this works? It isn’t just a job to me — it’s a hobby. I have fun doing this. On my days off I’m still building things for friends, just because I love watching a build come together exactly the way I see it in my head. That’s the person you’re hiring.
