Website Maintenance Terms
Last updated: {{EFFECTIVE_DATE}}
These terms govern the website maintenance plans provided by 2K Web Developments LLC ("2K Web," "we," "us"). By subscribing to a plan and checking the agreement box at checkout, you ("Client," "you") agree to these terms. They're written to be plain and fair — read them before you subscribe.
1 The plans & what's included
We offer three monthly maintenance plans — Basic, Standard, and Priority — described on our plans page. Each plan covers the specific services listed for that plan, for one website built or hosted by 2K Web. Higher plans include everything in the plan below them.
Plans are designed to keep your site live, secure, monitored, and — on Standard and Priority — kept current with routine content updates. They are ongoing maintenance, not project work.
2 What's not included
The following are outside every plan and are quoted in advance or billed separately at {{HOURLY_RATE}}/hour:
- Redesigns, new page templates, or layout changes
- Bulk page builds (for example, new sets of service or city pages)
- New integrations, third-party tools, or custom software
- Copywriting or content creation from scratch
- Graphic design, logo, or photography work
- Migrating hosting, domains, or email
- Fixing issues caused by edits made by you or a third party to the code or hosting account
Pass-through costs are your responsibility and are not part of the plan fee: domain registration and renewal, premium hosting tiers, paid form plans, and any other paid third-party service your site depends on. These are billed by those providers directly.
3 Recurring billing & automatic renewal
Your plan automatically renews and recharges every month until you cancel.
- You will be charged on a recurring basis. The amount is the monthly price of the plan you select, shown clearly at checkout before you pay.
- When you're charged: once per month, in advance, on the same day of the month as your original signup.
- How to cancel: anytime, through your billing portal (linked on the plans page) or by emailing adam@2kwebdev.com. There is no deadline, no phone call, and no cancellation fee.
- What cancelling does: it stops all future charges. Service continues through the end of the month you've already paid for.
Payment is processed securely by Stripe. You may pay by card or by ACH bank debit; you authorize 2K Web (through Stripe) to store your selected payment method and charge it automatically each month for as long as your subscription is active. 2K Web does not see or store your full card or bank details.
4 Price changes
If we ever change the price of your plan, we'll give you at least 30 days' notice by email before the new price takes effect. You're free to cancel before then if the new price doesn't work for you. We won't increase your price without telling you first.
5 Cancellation & refunds
You can cancel at any time, effective at the end of your current paid month. Because plans are billed in advance for service we begin providing immediately, the current month's fee is non-refundable. You keep the service through the period you've paid for. Either party may also end the arrangement with 30 days' written notice (email is fine).
6 Your responsibilities
You own all content and assets on your site and are responsible for the accuracy of information you ask us to publish. You'll keep your own access to your domain, hosting, and third-party accounts, and grant 2K Web the access needed to perform the services. You're responsible for maintaining your own backups of any content you provide, beyond version history we keep as part of our workflow.
7 Response times
We respond to requests within the window listed for your plan (2 business days for Basic, 1 business day for Standard, same business day for Priority). "Business days" are Monday–Friday, excluding U.S. federal holidays. Response time means we'll acknowledge and begin work, not that every request is fully resolved within that window.
8 Third-party services
Your site relies on services we don't control — hosting providers, domain registrars, DNS, content delivery networks, form processors, and similar. 2K Web is not responsible for outages, data loss, price changes, or service interruptions caused by those third parties, and is not liable for their actions or failures.
9 Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, 2K Web's total liability arising out of or relating to a maintenance plan is limited to the amount you paid us for that plan in the one (1) month immediately before the event giving rise to the claim. 2K Web is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost profits or lost business, even if advised of the possibility. The services are provided on a commercially reasonable, best-effort basis.
10 Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make a material change, we'll notify active subscribers by email. Continuing your subscription after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms. The current version always lives at this page.
11 Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Missouri, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Missouri.
